AUGUST 2024.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: homelander has spent the time since his arrival in a bit of a funk โ things are too weird for him to fall into a full depression over being power nerfed, and then there's the matter of maintaining face in front of a bunch of strangers (well, really just maeve), but he's still perpetually on the verge of drastic action (more so than usual) which may or may not lead to some unfortunate violence in the near future. he's also already begun the process of latching onto alicent, though he has some conflicting feelings about it: despite being royalty, she's still just human, but at the same time, she humors him, which goes a long way toward securing his attention, if not entirely his loyalty or respect.
SEPTEMBER 2024.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: this month was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for homelander: unfortunately aemond reminds him a lot of his son insomuch as he wishes his son was more into murder and more willing to embrace his powers. he also got handfasted to maeve, for whom he still has latent Weird Feelings, and is steadfastly avoiding having to confront the fact that his biological dad is here. he's made no real progress on the "getting out of here" front but is slowly figuring out who has powers and who doesn't.
OCTOBER 2024.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: werewolf positives: team green was, to put it mildly, incredibly chaotic throughout the month, with homelander (successfully!) pulling off a scheme to fake pierce's death and becoming closer to several of the people he strong-armed into helping in the process. he also spent most of the game working with maeve again, which was (for him) a pleasant reminder of the good ole days. (only semi-related to werewolf: since confessing his attraction to alicent last month, he's been attempting to be more responsible in looking after her and aemond, who've both made gestures of trust during the game.)
werewolf negatives: speaking of maeve, the fact that the game further nerfed homelander's capabilities has made his emotional self-regulation even more precarious, culminating in his death at maeve's hands. granted, this was an outcome he'd bargained for โ upon being given the role of cupid at the beginning of the game, he linked himself to maeve, reasoning that, should she try anything, she'd suffer the consequences, too. having been killed, however, has still been a giant blow to his ego as well as his understanding of his own status quo. combined with his increasingly vulnerable conversations with set, he's going into november in an extremely volatile state.
NOVEMBER 2024.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: shockingly, homelander has managed to maintain his place at the precipice of a mental breakdown rather than swan-diving off of it; this is mostly to do with the incredibly nice folks he has conveniently failed to mention his war crimes to. granted, this is only delaying the inevitable, as he suffered another emotional blow from maeve's departure. but he exchanged favors with alicent at the tourney, got son support from wally, pierce, and aemond (whose birthday it was!), and spoke with set about their kids, which has kept him emotionally stable ... for the moment ...
DECEMBER 2024.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: weird month! homelander's never really been a gift-giving kind of guy, but still did his best to go along with the holiday spirit (which was, for him, a gigantic effort โ look at all the gifts he gave!) despite the rather large emotional blow of alicent's death. on the bright side, his core cr has really solidified, and he's pretty ride or die for them โ and has no plans to die again anytime soon.
JANUARY 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: ups: said the L word to alicent ("love," not "lesbians," despite [ gestures ]), had one teaching moment and one vulnerable moment with aemond, didn't explicitly say/hear "we're best friends" to/from set but the boys are in it to win it.
downs: took resculpt and was un-power-nerfed for five seconds. doesn't seem fair to him!
FEBRUARY 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: the fact that the library started spitting out temp v was a bigger shock to homelander than the fact that his powers went away for a month, and led to him revealing the nature of his origin story to (in order of least to most detail) aemond, wally, and alicent. the post he and alicent made to the network re: temp v was a rare flexing of his leadership muscles (continued in the ensuing effort to make the library a home base and responsibly dole out temporary superpowers) but also led to enough responses he personally got a weird vibe from for him to prompt the "what are we" conversation (result: good!). as the cherry on top of the cake, his role in the organizational effort led to a few new friends, namely marazhai (cool, fun), shanks (weird, fine), and steve rogers ("less cool homelander" โ pierce).
in backdated news, he's also finally learned a little more about the beef between the greens and the blacks, which has only put him more firmly in the greens' court.
MARCH 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: wholesome: in the continuing adventures of homelanders' home for wayward children and young adults, became interim coach for the yellowjackets. had a heart to heart with set about being fae-married to shanks and is having to "think" about "friendship."
not wholesome: had a(nother) weirdly charged encounter with alia in the lake, hunted mia in the woods in attempted payback.
secret third thing: learned more about eunhyuk after eunhyuk asked him to kill him. also started trying to wear things besides his uniform. only took seven months!
APRIL 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: some ups and downs, but that's life (.mp3)! homie, like many others, got "volunteered" to work at the host club, leading to weird encounters with embry (results inconclusive, check back in later for an update as to what the hell their relationship is) and set (unfortunately very hot as a woman).
prom was somewhat less complicated โ he went with (and was asked by!) alicent, marking a first for both of them as well as a drink- (and want-) induced redo of their respective first times. he also danced with nat, allowing himself to be a little vulnerable with her, and gave a pep talk (his words, not mine) to travis. there's no crying at prom.
and, as the cherry on top of the cake, he did NOT crash out over the superlatives votes. please clap.
MAY 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: what could have been an emotionally fraught month thanks to both a canon update and wally's disappearance actually turned out pretty well, as homelander talked through ryan's rejection with alicent and worked out his bad feelings in a more violent (and then, shout out to the superlatives poll, in a sexc way) with set.
his
relationshipsituationshipundefinedtionship with alia also progressed with an encounter on the ferris wheel, marking an end โ or a least a new chapter โ to months of slow burn.the bad news, after all that, is that mia is back, but he'll deal with it later.
JUNE 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: ๐ฎ au month! as batman analog "john smith," homelander was generally well-adjusted and well-liked. notably, he was travis' dad; past, present, and future boyfriend to anora, nami, and alia, all of whom he's quite fond of; crush-friendly with greer and regular-friendly with jake. he also flirted with alicent and gave her his second (initially) anonymous gift since arriving. shockingly, he will be going into july in a pretty good state โ his good luck avoiding a serious crashout continues.
JULY 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: after coming out of memloss month with the reaction of, "haha, weird!" homelander had a rocky but mostly fine time with memshare, while also mourning the loss of aemond and notably taking care of alia after she got kicked out (his words) by paul and alina. hawk and melissa both got a glimpse into his more violent nature thanks to memshare, while roza, set, and alicent got a look at his unfortunately traumatic upbringing and family circumstances (with some big memories and revelations shared in return), all of which would make him more mad than he is if not for the fact that alicent said she'd have liked if he'd been her husband. ๐ฅฐ being a wife guy pays off!!!
AUGUST 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: pretty good month overall, with the exception of having to learn what a "buggy" is as well as the fact that shanks has a body pillow of him. otherwise of note: homelander and roza continue to learn more about each other, and his memloss connections with greer, nami, and travis continue to bear fruit. that travis considered him a good father is a real boost to his ego โ as well as a big reason for him to want to keep looking out for the kid.
and ๐ happy one year in saltburnt!
SEPTEMBER 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: like astarion, homelander went from Doubt about the cult to fully drinking the koolaid after becoming one of the anointed. in various states of handwaviness, he got marked by alicent, marked alia with alicent, marked nat, and had further freak interactions with mia before she disappeared. currently pending: meeting yelena in the most normal way possible and not at all in a fucked up way they won't talk about later.
OCTOBER 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: got sliced in two in the first round of werewolf kills, and then got resurrected by embry. was briefly reunited with greer and set before they both got killed, too. got a Little vulnerable with roza in asking for her to resurrect set, and also made quick inroads with misty in trying to look after the yj girls. got tired of the game within one round and hung out with alia for most of the final round, and kept watch over alicent's sleeping body. backdated note: got freaky with yeko while they were both still in full commune mode.
on active crashout watch for the next [???] months on account of alicent disappearing. don't you ever get tired of being nice? don't you ever just wanna go apeshit?
NOVEMBER 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: as foretold, homelander spun out in the wake of alicent's disappearance, leading both to some significant developments with his close cr and the growth of some new cr in the wake of his feeling a little ... not quite self-destructive, but certainly less cautious than usual.
he exchanged the L word with alia, firmly solidifying what they've been circling around for the past few months; spent a little more time getting to know greer and working through their fondness for each other from au month; took misty out for halloween (in matching costumes!); cried to set about alicent and took a new step in their weird relationship by committing to applying scar cream to each other; had a fight/mutual "get cared about" session with yeko; had a mutual Awakening with shadowheart after she played sexy nurse for him; and had a boys' night with hawk.
voyeur also led to some interesting new dynamics, pushing along his feelings for roza, and opening doors with mithra, wanda, and caroline.
finally, he signed up to be a trainer at buffy's gym. see ya there!
DECEMBER 2025.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: all men do is lie (about war crimes) and talk to hot girls. had misfire shenanigans with caroline, shadowheart, greer, and yeko, got voyeur jumpscared by becky, and locked in for snowstorm weekend with michael. enjoyed the winter weather with alia, misty, and greer, got a surprise text from ani, and was tender with set. it was a nice, normal month, filled with sweet moments with old and new cr. a recovery period, sort of, as homelander continues to privately deal with grief.
JANUARY 2026.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: the new year got off a relatively slow and easy start for homelander, with big Ws coming in the form of being pretty popular on fmk night, and asking alia to move in with him. notably, he also had pierce returned to him, albeit several years younger than he was the last time he saw him, and got trapped in a coffin with becky, which is sure to go normally for everyone involved.
FEBRUARY 2026.
CHARACTER JOURNAL:
SUMMARY: frankly did mostly okay despite ending up in bronze. had a brain chemistry-altering threesome with greer and alia, got to further know michael, had a beautiful and brainless time at the gold orgy with shadowheart, and had a shocking moment of selflessness in being offered a promotion by hawk and telling him to give it to alia instead.
also, at the top of the month, he had an odd encounter with a rock that has gifted him with some minor powers of compulsion. life's crazy!
